Nice six-line poem with six different rhyming words, and humorous as well! Be careful when drinking from a well! Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest.

Shauna, thank you, have a great day.

Your six line rhymed verse is clever. The use of the "..ipped" rhyme was done well. Maintaining the well as the centerpiece of your poem is your strong point.

I never knew there were so many forms of poetry till I joined this site recently. I am not a poet. But I enjoy reading poems. This is so very well written. Amusing. Thoroughly enjoyable. Good story telling in poetic form. Good luck.

Comment from Gloria ....
Author the water looks and sounds absolutely delicious. The natural pleasure of feeling water on one's skin and then having thirst quenched is a divine feeling.
Wishing you much luck in the voting booth with this refreshing entry.

This six-line poem, Drinking From a Well, has the required lines and captures a moment at the well when thirst was quenched with cool water at the near cost ones coolness.

Excellent response to the writing prompt - in six short lines you managed to evoke images of a welcome well, belching thirst quenching water into my hands on a hot summer's day - and reminded me that I can be clumsy. Enjoyed this immensely. All the best with the contest.

Well - at least you were able to create a little poem from your near accident. That's the skill - to transfer everyday experiences into something memorable and fun. Well done.

This is very clever indeed. Great rhythm to support the six rhyming lines. A complete story, with some humour thrown in. Very nicely done.
Good luck in the contest.
