A wonderful duo of rhyming triplets with the added spice of metaphor! ;) ;) Such a fun offering for this limited length contest -- thanx so much for sharing and best of luck to you at the polls! ;)

A beautiful poem done with great imagery and visuals. Great imagery and visuals, and I love the artwork - although when I saw the name, I imagined the picture of blue cornflowers (smile). Excellent metaphor - "cornflower sky."
Good luck in the contest.

This piece floats like the birds you write about. I am left smiling at the end. It is lyrical and expresses the passage of winter to spring with just the right amount of wonder.

Thanks for the insightful review. I missed my cabin the whole summer last year and hopefully I can cross the border from Quebec to Vermont by spring.
I had a guy come in and thin out my gloomy woods, so now I can see more mountains, sunshine, breezes and flowers in my forest, if I can just get there, haha Cheers, j
