This is a nice story and a good entry for this competition. I think the picture is well chosen because it adds some information I didn't pick up on in the story at first about the character being homeless. Thanks for sharing this and have a great day

So many politicians preaching how they'll 'take care of people' and 'make sure they have what they need'.... THAT IS NOT what anyone needs, they need dignity. They need to make their own way to buy their own things to take care of themselves... Beautifully written, Iza, with a lesson that many should read!! ;) Thanx for sharing my lady, and best of luck in the contest! ;)

Very Good. You said a lot in very few words. Some people just give up as you say, but the challenge is to move on. Prayer is the answer and paying attention to be sure if the prayer is answered we are prepared.

I love this story. Sometimes it does gel just like that. You wonder what can happen next. You can turn to drugs, throw a pity party or turn to God. Your story had the right ending.

This is a nice short story with a great plot. It has a beginning, middle and end, which is very important. I really liked the imagery off the top, raining a thunderstorm/swimming against a current of bullshit. Nicely done.
My only caution, is the the exclamation points are a bit overdone. Less is more and your words already convey urgency and exasperation.
