I enjoyed this presentation for the writing prompt. Birds must be popular as it filled very quickly! What a pretty little man he is! Best to you in the contest.

This bird is sure bright. A manakin is a common bird of tropical forests, second growth and plantations. Manakins are short-billed birds that range in size from 3.5 to 6.5 inches long and weigh a mere 0.35-1.4 ounces.

I don't believe I've ever heard of this bird before. It is definitely a most interesting looking creature. Perhaps I'll look this bird up on the Internet, or maybe even on YouTube. Good luck in the contest.

Hello, anonymous,
Good entry for the
Bye Bye Blackbird writing prompt contest. Good syllables count but needs some help with the connection between lines. Nice presentation.
Like the ... little man line but the syntaxt is weird. Suggestion:
Band-tailed Manakin,
is my 'little winged man
tropical singer.
Good luck in the contest.

I like learning new things and I've never seen this bird. No wonder - I looked it up and see that it lives in South America (Maybe you could put that in your notes.) It is so beautiful! I liked how you utilized its name and that word's meaning in your poem.

This is a tough form to use about birds but you have done it well. I love the photo, too. The second line has a sort of rhythm to it that I like as well. No suggestions, just well done.

A little man whos winged, how cute! The picture is adorable and you were able to describe the bird beautifully. Within the parameters of the contest as well. Good luck

I have never seen this bird even in our zoo's aviary. The picture suggests he is quite colorful. The Speaker says he sings like "a little man" from the tropics.

Very good description of the bird, "little man". I like the way you have matched the colour of your words to the bird. Thank you for telling us about this colourful bird.
