You are right that there are so many sparkles in this world, nothing can compare with the eyes of your son. You gave reasons and observations to support that. I agree with you.

I don't know much about free verse - have never really tried it. But I do know how it feels to have a son that has that sparkle in his eyes that others find soothing - especially when they are stressed or suffering. OUr son is a cancer massage therapist. I don't know how he can massage little children who are undergoing chemo or radiation treatment. But he does - and he soothes them. Kudos to you for honoring your son with this lovely tribute.

Your son has a noble profession. He does what other people can't. He soothes their hearts as well as their bodies. It takes special people to do these things. Thank you, June.
