Again, truly marvelous!
One can help but see this natural process of Nature unfold. And as the mockingbird so elegantly cares for his mate, one imagines the gentle rain falling upon the two as they sit together.
Beautiful imagery.

Well, it is certainly joyful to see that smiling face there again, my lady! And I will not ask nor will I dwell, but I will rejoice in the return of the beautiful pen of Yvonne... none like it round these parts! :) And what a lovely employment of this form: a mockingbird couple...so often overlooked but the jukebox of every garden everywhere!! ;) Thanx for sharing this evening and welcome back to both you and to your pen! ;) Yvette

Strong alliteration used in this well crafted poem that paints a clear picture of a mockingbird wooing his mate then sharing his nest with her. Poem also depicts how well he takes care of her.

I can appreciate what you are feeling right now Yvonne, although you may not think so because everybody says something like this. However, I lost my son when he was 14 and still feel the pain after all these years. All I can say is take one day at a time. Then pain will never be gone, but will ease up over time. God bless you, my friend.. Bob

Thank you for saying that. It has to ease up. I can't go through life with this pain. I know you understand what I'm talking about, and that helps. Thank you so much. Your friendship is a blessing to me.

Hello Yvonne.
This is another of the forms I do not understand or use. The construction of this poem meets the standard of the style you are writing in. It is an interesting form.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost two sons. Writing has been my best outlet and my first entry on Facebook, Changing Times, was about the last conversation I'd had with him. My pastor asked if I'd like to chronicle my grief in the monthly newsletter, and that was a huge blessing. Keep writing, even if just for yourself.

Thank you for that. I'm trying to do something to take my mind off him constantly. Bless your heart. Losing two must have been devastating.
