So Doctor Jill's a cover girl once more
On Vogue, a magazine the rich adore.
Please tell me why Melania was snubbed
and never featured on the cover once
yet FLOTUS Jill has graced the cover thrice?
Perhaps the editors aren't very nice.
Then Biden said Trump's like an alley cat
does he brand his son Hunter crude like that?
Perhaps Joe should've curbed his scathing sass
when his own house is built of tainted glass.
I wrote this in response to learning that Jill Biden was featured on the cover of Vogue magazine three times while she was the First Lady. Her first solo cover was in August 2021, and she appeared again in the August 2024 issue. Additionally, she was featured alongside her granddaughter Naomi Biden in the digital winter 2023 issue.
Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine, is a very close friend of Jill Biden. Wintour has also been a long-time supporter of the Biden family.
There is a notable history of First Ladies being featured on the cover of Vogue magazine. Over the years, several First Ladies have graced the cover, including Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama who appeared three times in two terms, and now Jill Biden who appeared three times in one term.
Yet Melania Trump, was never featured once during her time as First Lady. Why is that?
How galling to see that tone-deaf old man go out into the Rose Garden on Thursday two days after the disastrous election pretending he is as vital as ever.

Why is Jill Biden of such interest to you, Gloria? She's not the First Lady now, and never will be again.
I freely admit it's very likely I am the one missing something, here, but the wife of a man who is not now and will never again be President seems an odd person to be focussing on in connection with the White House at this moment in time.

She is indeed the first lady right now. And Jill is the person who covered up the infirmity of her husband more than any other.

You've answered your own question anyway - the editor of the mag is a friend of Dr Jill so is obviously going to choose her and reject Melania. It might well be harming her circulation but perhaps she has no Fs to give.
Perhaps your concerns would carry more weight if you cared equally about news outlets that carry Trump's water while downplaying Biden's stellar presidency.
Want to quibble with ;stellar'? How about the Infrastructure Bill that's so good all the Republicans who voted against it want to take credit for the results as they appear in their districts. Not to mention the booming stockmarket and the soft landing after COVID making the economy the envy of the world and of course the record string of low unemployment...
Trump, of course, will try to claim all of that for himself even as he upsets the applecart with his magical tariffs... The WSJ will probably feature him on their front page (if they haven't already)
Seems the Russians like to feature pics of Melania, though, so she can gain some consolation there...

The stock market is booming under Biden mainly because of inflation. Subtract inflation from each stock and you'll see how much it really went up. It's just a trick to tax the market. But did you see what the market did the moment Trump got elected?

Of course Jill was in large measure responsible for the Democrats losing this election. And she did it because she wanted to keep her prestige, worthless as it is to the real kitchen-table issues facing Americans. If Vogue has any sense they will feature Melania early in 2025 or Trump will destroy that magazine.
In the meantime if Biden is worth a lick of salt he should get news coverage every day until his presidency ends. And not the kind Fox News, Newsmax or OAN is delivering. Communications is the key area where Joe was delivered a continuous death by a thousand cuts over the past four years. He and his administration never got their message out. Yes Steve, not even about their infrastructure or CHIPS act or even job creation. Biden gave the least number of news conferences of any of his contemporaries; he spent more days away from the White House than any president including Trump. When he did speak, he either talked down to everyone or painfully slurred through his speeches leaving listeners hoping the end would come sooner than later. Not a joke. Not even when he fell over a sand bag, couldn't find his way back to the stairs he used to come up onto a stage, or, searched for some mysterious figure hidden in the curtains.
IMO Joe and Jill Biden are at least 70% responsible for the Democrats' loss. In their disgraceful attempt to run out the clock by disguising Biden's debilitating decline they took a lot of people down with them. That said, there must've been other people complicit in the coverup. But as per usual transparency is not, and has never been, an item on Joe's agenda. To make small amends, Joe should at least try to demonstrate the empathy that he so carefully crafted over his nearly 50 years in political office and acknowledge his responsibility for the damage done.
If Biden wants to pretend now that he was a vibrant candidate the whole time and he was forced out of office by avaricious women (and George Clooney), then he should prove it. He should deliver until January 20, 2025 and stop letting Trump steal the limelight acting as though he is already the president.
Sadly, my guess is Joe will, as usual, spend most of the time at his beach house in Delaware stewing over how underestimated he has always been. Hopefully he hasn't taken any classified documents with him this time.

Very funny, Go, but no I won't take up your suggestion as anything but far-fetched nonsense. Jill Biden in her effort to show spousal loyalty or whatever you want to call it just laid a catastrophic burden on the nation for years to come. She knew Joe was not well and she covered it up for what looks to be in service to her own ambitions. Joe would've listened if she had made it clear he should keep to his original promise to be a one-term transitional president.
Even though it isn't provable, (making it a logical fallacy), Joe would not have won the election and it is only a fool who could pretend him capable of serving another four years as he is barely able to serve the remainder of this term.
And how galling for it to appear that Trump was giving Biden solace at the White House meeting, and that Joe was gratefully accepting it.
