Sneaky paths to make one’s way,
Knowing life’s rules of shadow play…
Underhanded sophistry
Lurks just beneath its sparkling sea.
Like patrons at a masquerade,
Dramatic overtures evade…
Unethical to say the least,
Greed and desire feed the beast.
Groupthink allows its spell to bind
Expectant foolish, feckless minds…
Recall that though life seems ideal,
You should ask... be sure all is real.
