Upon our land, the sunrise shone,
Changing our world in hue and tone.
As if embraced by God’s own hand,
The sunrise shone upon our land.

The noonday sun warming our field;
The Lord and sun increase its yield.
Though harvest time’s not yet begun,
Warming our field, the noonday sun.

With sunset comes a cooling breeze
Rustling the leaves on yonder trees.
And into eve, long day succumbs.
A cooling breeze with sunset comes.

A gentle hush the moonlight brings
And elevates us all to kings.
It slows each one from daily rush ...
The moonlight brings a gentle hush.

Author Notes
This is an entry for the Potlatch Poetry cub week. The challenge? Write a swap quatrain poem.
IN a swap quatrain, the first line of each stanza is reversed as the fourth ine. (I hope!)
It was a fun challenge. Thanks to Jannypan for organizing the club and challenging us to stretch our wings. :)

Also, thanks to World Traveler Photos for the image, 'The Field' -- lovely!
