Over the moon was where we were,
Vying for heaven’s prize –
Each of our hearts thundering true,
Riding that ‘young love’ high.
Touches of fire and kisses deep,
Hypnotic your luscious scent –
Even our sighs and wonton sounds
Made holding out sweet torment.
Only the stars were higher that night,
Oblivion heard our screams –
Never before and never again,
Forever young in our dreams…
Oh, we’re still ‘us’, though not as young,
Reality... yeah, it’s okay:
You’ve always got me and I'll always be yours,
Over the moon and
Under the Milky Way…
