Attractive and fit
with a wardrobe that won't quit
This dreamer is real
Ambitious as you make her
She is brave, She is gentle.
The ultimate doll
Proudly dazzling the crowds
And winning your heart
with more than her simple smile
One memory at a time.
Author Notes
Day 27, writing prompt - Write a poem in the form of a review, but no book, food or movie reviews.
Note: I watched Antiques Roadshow this past Friday Night, which gave me an idea about what to write a review on. There was a woman that brought in her childhood Barbie Doll. She thought it was the first edition, but it was the second edition and played with through the years. The doll's worth was estimated at $1000 to 1500. I tried to find a clip of the show online, but found some other dolls shows. Hope you enjoy the poem and YouTube video clips.
Note: I was raised with Holly Hobbie, Charlie's Angeles, WonderWoman, Raggity Ann & Andy... All my friends had Barbie's and/or Cabbage Patch Kidsd. I was never into either them. Barbie still being around entered my life somehow. It was probably because of FAO Schwartz NYC. Most recently, maybe this past October... Mattel had a Barbie Dream Hotel in Malibu. I wished to attend, but found out the weekend the event started. I suppose there's a Barbie Doll in all of us women :)
