I'm twelve years old and on our annual school camp holiday where we sleep under canvas.         This evening is spent around a large camp fire with music as we toast our marshmallows over flaming logs. Flames dance through smelly wood smoke, while sparks leap skyward, before twisting back towards us; we call them 'fire devils.'         Then one fire devil went down the back of my neck under my clothing. My scream alerts the new boy Danny, who quickly grabs a bottle of water to douse it. While our eyes lock, I take a deep breath as my heart misses several beats.         Sleep escapes me tonight for the first time ever, with my mind full of feelings; the name "Danny" is on my lips. "Is this true love?" I ask myself.   Writing Prompt Write a story that is between 100 and 150 words. The trick is you must use the following words: fire, devil, scream, heart, love. Recognized Author Notes Word count one hundred and twenty five words.
