Waited for me to come home from work each night with a warm greeting
Each day we snuggled in bed falling asleep in ridiculous positions
I shared every emotion with your loving face staring back at me
You never passed judgement, just sat there and listened
You got me through the toughest times even when I felt it was hopeless
Bought you toys you never really liked and testing new diets we both hated
You stuck by my side despite each questionable decision
We made thousands of memories together and photos to prove it
For years we loved one another
Until I held your paw for the last time
