Attendant of the Change by Y. M. Roger
Even-the-Odds Lion & Lamb writing prompt entry

Brisk roars

flow in the First...

March makes her presence known –

Blowing the leaves and winter’s worst,

Bidding them waltz to music of her own.

She warmly welcomes sun and cloudburst,

vows her soil’s set to be sown –

Then she skips out with

quite gentle

growls

Writing Prompt
They say that March is 'In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb'... well, what do you think about that? Write an Even the Odds Poem that gives us YOUR take on that saying. It can be sentimental, humorous, scientific, sports-oriented, or something totally different - your choice! Sooo, without further ado, grab your pen and impress us: make us laugh, make us cry, make us scream at the computer screen... just get us to vote for your thoughts on the whole Lion/Lamb Spring Fling! :)

As a reminder, the 'Even-the-Odds' poetry format has a syllable count of 2-4-6-8-10-9-7-5-3-1 [starts out with evens and finishes with odds]
The first line (two syllables) and the last line (one syllable) are essentially synonyms
There is no rhyme requirement, although it isn't discouraged.
An example is included at the end of this announcement although REMEMBER TO CENTER your text [very loosely resembling a diamond-shape] Note the word 'loosely' here -- perfection is not required!

Evening Performance
By Y. M. Roger

Fairies
Flit through the air
Chromatic symphony
Of effulgent streaks and glitter
Performing 'neath where the trees meet the stars
Tonight, the crickets and frogs join in
Enhancing the vibrant show
You'll never forget
Dancing with
Sprites!
