Days grow longer, mornings lighter
Snow disappears, attitudes brighter
Silver sun peeks through evergreen branches
Squirrels scamper down from their nests
Mother rabbits tend to family enhances
Sparrows sing their springtime best
A time of burgeoning renewal and birth
Crocus and tulips pucker their thirsty lips
Trees and bushes awaken with growing mirth
Young men’s fancies turn to girls and courtships
Tiny leaves begin to breakout and sprout
Grass turns from tawny to shamrock green
Players and coaches huddle in baseball dugouts
Zephyrs waft soft, make evenings so serene
Spring a time for revival and love
there is no more pleasant time of year
granted to us from the One high above
