T'was Spring! I welcomed her
for she would be a sprinkling can.
She watered me, a lifesaver
with all the help she gave
to transform thoughts to verse.
Those early blooms, that caravan
of vibrant colors did coerce
the images I crave.

This pattern is called a Hazel. It was designed by James R. Gray and features iambic meter with exact syllable count and feet per line. Lines 1, 4, 5, and 8 are written in trimester. Lines 2, 3, 6, and 7 are in tetrameter. The rhyme scheme is a, b, a, c, d, b, d, c.
