Jenna began building her walls years ago. Making fun of the new girl, telling lies about the gay neighbors. She began piling more bricks at work. Complaining about the foreign co~workers and writing long rants about immigrants and refugees searching for safety and peace. As the years went by, the walls grew high around her with each racist taunt and twisted tale. One day, she found herself alone. She gazed high above her and for the first time saw her wall. No warmth of the sun or tolerant breezes. Just Jenna trapped in a prison made with bricks of hate.   Writing Prompt In 100 words, or less, write a short story--not necessarily a flash-fiction, though it could be--on the theme/subject/topic of 'prisoner'.
