The time is March 31st 2003.
(A little after 8 p.m.)
I just come home from work at a supermarket that I manage on Long Beach Island.
Ready to relax.
And, playing a game of chess on chess net.com on my computer.
My wife Carolyn, was silently asleep having hopefully, sweet dreams?
...
The first noise kind of shocked me and when I heard it, I knew somebody was in trouble!
"Some poor fool."
"I guess they're going to regret it."
I thought.
...
Now the second noise came almost immediately which was much louder!
"Oh my God!"
"What is going on and it sounds so close?"
I thought.
...
The second noise actually woke up my wife but the phone call that came immediately shocked her awake!
"You had better get over here!"
"It's Jason and he's been in a horrible accident!"
Stated Kyle Erin my second oldest daughter.

As the helicopter transported the driver...

And, our only Son Jason.
We delightfully enjoyed our 45-minute ride on the Garden State Parkway to the Atlantic City trauma Hospital in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Upon arrival we presented the hospital with no medical insurance.
(Since my, let's just say now deceased ex-employer)
Turned out and turned into a Real Prick!
...
The nice nurse lady took us to the X-ray room where there was multiple pictures black and white on the walls of our 18 year old son.

We were then taken into the second floor trauma room where they had Jason hooked up to all kinds of devices.
There was an emergency room nurse attending to him.

Since Jason was massively tossed about as if a child with shaken baby syndrome and we truly believe His head dislodged the top carriage of the Mustang convertible.

He was what you would call 'Raccooned.'

Eyes shut...
Swollen and bulging...
(Along with his Head)
Jason was in for the fight of his life!
