there's something special about thanksgiving
those pilgrims and indians live in me
legends of the past, spiced for the living
and my heart happily sings filled with glee
our land is beautiful and bountiful
we are grateful to god for these blessings
may the future always be plentiful
to share without any second guessings
there is something about the holiday
everything is spirited with color
an old tradition, served up a nice way
as we make memories with each other
entertaining is caring and sharing
don't ever hesitate to be daring.
