The Racine family gathered in the sunny garden one afternoon to celebrate. Grandma Betty sat proudly in her special chair as always, right in the middle of the festivities.
Her granddaughter edged towards her, through cooing family members.
"Here you go Grandma. One more great grandchild to spoil," she laughed and gently placed the soft, blue bundle into her arms.
Grandma Betty gazed to the heavens and wiped away the happy tears.
She lifted the blanket and gazed into blue eyes, framed by familiar reddish curls.
She gently placed the first kiss of many, onto her great grandson's chubby cheek.
