"Laura Jacobson was a single mother of one child."
"She lost her husband during the Vietnam war in 1972."
"Alone, she struggles to raise her daughter Macy."
...
"The Year was 1974 and Laura was struggling."
"A photgrapher, she dreamed of one day making it big."
"And, possibly work for a large newspaper in Dayton, Ohio."
...
"She was receiving assistance for Macy and also got her food from local churches."
"But on the side?"
"She took pictures."
...
"Pictures of houses...
"Pictures of empty houses...
"Pictures of empty houses where no one lived...
"Pictures of empty houses were no one lived and the people had died!"
...
"At first, it was just a thing but after a few months?"
"She started researching."
"And, she soon realized if she could combine her pictures...
"As a photographer...
"And, possibly...
"Write a book?"
"She could make some real money?"
"Entitled, "Picture a House?"
...
'Mom?'
'Yes Macy?'
'Are we done yet?'
'Almost honey.'
'But this is so boring!'
'Macy, it's important.'
'You see these pictures are going into a book.'
'That I've been working on each and every night.'
...
"A year went by and Laura had felt that she had accumulated enough pictures."
"And, now she was concentrating mainly on completing the book."
...
"It was the Christmas of 1975 and the book was being published."
"It instantly became a best-seller."
"For a particular but odd reason?"
...
'Mom?'
'Yes Macy?'
'Why are we doing this picture of empty houses thing again?'
'Well Macy, the one book is finished now and it's out for sale.'
'This book is going to be my second book and help launch my Photography career.'
...
'But Mom.'
'Why do we need to do a second book?'
Questioned Macy.
'Is it for the money?'
'No, the money's not important now and it never was Macy.'
...
'I don't understand Mom and why is the cover of the second book our house in Dayton?'
'That's very, very, important Macy.'
'Remember when I first started this?'
'Yes.'
'I told you I was taking pictures of houses?'
"Pictures of empty houses... "Pictures of empty houses where nobody lived?'
"Pictures of empty houses that nobody lived in because they died!'
'Yes mother.'
...
'Well, that house were we lived?'
'Is empty because we also died in a car crash two years ago!'
The End.
