If you could see me for myself
and look upon my highest shelf,
you’d find the child I hide inside -
far from harm this child I hide.
If you could see me for myself
and look up on another shelf,
you’d find a girl that safely dreams
of flowers, fields and running streams.
If you could see me for myself
and dare to take me from my shelf,
you’d find a girl with loyal ways -
a love to lean on all your days.
