Never Hate a Tree by HarryT
100 Word Horror writing prompt entry

Warning: The author has noted that this contains the highest level of violence.
I hate you, old balding tree
Why do you insist on torturing me
Tap, tap, tapping on my bedroom
Window constantly
I know your hideous branches are
 Waiting to pounce on me

It was hot that night, opened the
window in spite of my fright
Leaned out to catch a breeze
You swung your spindly branch
Slapped my face, not by chance

“Damn, you! I hope you get hit by
Lightning or even blown down

That night howling winds and thunder
You came crashing through my window
Your ugly branches, sunk into me
Dragging me, pulling me out the window
