Fascination of the foolish
And a desire to not be bored,
Inspires quite droll shenanigans
Right here within your garden’s ward.
You just need sit so very still,
For those sprites and fairies to start –
Under mushrooms they hide themselves,
Neatly concealed, you see, they’re smart…
Ah, here comes our first leprechaun,
No care has he, 'twould thus appear –
Dips that old hat in nectar’s goo,
Laughs while in pollen it is smeared...
Each one here knows that most fairies
Pretend they're brave around the bees –
Real truth be told, they get skittish
Each time a 'buzz' sings on the breeze…
Chatter among the winged* ones,
Halts with the wee man’s cool advance –
And when he makes it to the 'shrooms,
Unmatched chaos bee-gins its dance!
Now sprites and bees create a blur,
Feathers fly and leprechaun falls –
Oh, each one laughs, even those bees,
Loud peals of joy glance off the walls…
Laughter's magic is ev'rywhere -
You’ve just to look and find it there!
