Why do I feel this guilt? I volunteered. I served! It was an undeclared war; Was the disrespect deserved? Do I still feel guilty shadows Because politicians debated While my generation's died In a far cause so over-rated? Is my guilt because we lost, some Say, or, simply did not win? Or, that if pols promised to do it Right, that I’d volunteer again? My little cloud of guilt is there, Quietly, daily, wherever I roam; Not over what I did or did not do, But, because I got to come home…
