One bright Summer's day
('twas the month of May)
I picked a bouquet ...
then, I immediately froze.
Crouched down in disguise,
right before my eyes
a wondrous surprise!
Sweet garden faeries 'neath my nose.
While trying to hide,
praying, "Don't collide!"
held my breath and spied
pixies, working in quaint meadows.
Wisp kisses so lush,
as rosy buds flush
a deep scarlet blush ...
flirt charming, laced-winged Romeos.
Ohhh, sob stories flew!
(I doubt they were true)
Bells bowed sad 'n blue.
No other way works, I suppose.
Wee folk all spit-shine;
lookin' mighty fine
daisies in a line.
My goodness! Do they ever doze?
"Such magical things!"
Mother Nature sings;
when treated like kings,
a beautiful display now grows.
Then, quick as a wink,
swirling rainbow pink
flew beyond the brink ...
I gratefully smiled, then arose.
