Near the end Someone says, "You'll do fine" As I'm approaching contest deadline From a friend I get help with a line While my excitement and fear combine Verse to send End just around the bend Her helping hand, she will always lend Author Notes I've gotten a lot of help with my contest entries, though I do write the poems out of my own head.
