Excellent Animal Nonet Contest Entry Rocky by LyndaS Animal Nonet writing prompt entry

Meet my curious and coy young man. It took all summer to build trust. Peanuts in the shell was bait. Luring him took patience. My reward complete when he took one from my still, steadfast hand. ~   Writing Prompt Write a nonet poem about your favourite animal. Author Notes This is a true story. I named him after Rocket J. Squirrel from the Rocky and Bullwinkle show. (You younger writers....Google it.) This picture taken about 15 minutes ago. If I go outside, he will come running from everywhere to get his treats. He was pretty scraggly last year. Now he's a puffball of fur with a tail to die for. I haven't been able to lure any other squirrels. Just him. I really enjoy him.
