John and Mary Smith were always unhappy with the dullness of their names.

One day Mary announced that she was going to have their first child - a girl. All summer they anguished over what to name her? They eventually chose the name "Amber" - a radiant and rare substance found in nature.

According to Greek mythology when Phaethon son of Helios (the Sun) was killed, his mourning sisters were metamorphosed into poplar trees. Their tears of grief were transformed into golden amber.

Mary gave birth to a radiant child - "Amber." By fourth grade most kids at school simply called her "Amberger."
