He Was ~ The Alpha
He has always been, before the foundations of earth were laid, calling forth life by the power of His spoken words. There are 951 translations of His sacred name. First recorded in Genesis 1:1 as "Elohim." It was transliterated from the Hebrew meaning--God. YAHWEH Elohim, in Hebrew means-- Almighty God.* Source. The oldest book in the Bible, Job, says He made everything in the heavenly realm; the moon, stars, and constellations. This ancient book also proclaims that God hung the earth upon...nothing at all. "He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; He suspends the earth over nothing." Job 26:7 His greatness and mastery have been told and retold, displayed throughout the earth for all to see. He created mankind and womankind. Every species of nature--all animals that dwell on the earth and the vast array of sea creatures. The mountains and hills, He shares, along with the the lilies of the valley. Fresh artesian springs, rain and snow, He gives, graciously watering the earth. The celestial sun warms us by day. Cooling breezes then blow across the earth, offering every living thing relief from the heat. He Is ~ Our Redeemer He desires fellowship with His creation. The created world knows Him. The trees of the field clap their hands with joy; the rocks proclaim His majesty day after day. Humans struggle with this for some reason, rejecting the perfect gift of love, remaining in sin. The remedy is still offered--God's healing ointment for the wounded through His Son, Jesus the Christ. Jesus still offers love, salvation and healing. He is sufficient for every need. Jesus rose from the grave to give us new resurrected life. He did this for every person. Heaven's grand splendor awaits, prepared for those who have believed in Him. He is our Redeemer. He Is To Come ~ The Omega Jesus is coming again. I believe it is soon, and with Him, a new order of things for a thousand years. The ones who will be glad to see Him are those with welcoming, open hearts of faith and belief. He is to come. "I know my Redeemer lives, and He will stand on the earth in the latter days," said Job. I believe Job, a wise man who saw to the end--his blessed Redeemer standing upon the soil of the earth in the last days. Happy Easter from my family to yours. Enjoy this beautiful song by Gladys Knight. ******************************************************************************** *Source: https://christiananswers.net/dictionary/namesofgod.html#e I was inspired to write this from the scripture in Revelation 1:8. "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Notes: The Book of Job was written in the second millennium BCE and is believed by many bible scholars, archeologists and historians to be the oldest book of the Bible. The Dead Sea Scrolls contain fragments of his writings from caves four and eleven. Job also had a vision of the latter days as recorded in the Bible. Job 19:25-27 New King James Version (NKJV)-- "For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!" Iyov 19:25-27 Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB) "For Ani yadati Goeli chai (I know that my Redeemer liveth), and that he shall stand up at Acharon (at the Last) upon aphar (dust, the earth); And though after my ohr (skin) has been thus destroyed, yet from my basar I shall see Eloah; Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold and no other; my heart faints within me."
