Oh my ---
Such a bright and warm winter day;
I must enjoy lunch with nature
Under the skinny, but tall tree.
It is naked ---
Somehow, graced with small pink flowers,
And a butterfly perches near;
All seems right, around me.

NaPoWriMo.net, Optional Writing Prompt for Day 1: Write a poem with instructions to do something anything. Example, furniture assembly.
I didn't go with the writing prompt, because this poem was previously written. It is about an old lanky cherry blossom tree in my building that I discovered abloom on Daylights Saving Time Sunday. Also, there was a butterfly in Wendy's parking lot that stayed with me for about an hour. So it's two really things (tree and butterfly) that I put together daydreaming.
