Blue eyes, round face and pale skin,
Cold night, hospital bed, a voice calls out!
Happened long ago and now again
A crook'd smile yet never a doubt.
Home followed...held a simple bed,
Fresh air, green grass, and first steps,
Dreams fill both heart and head.
A journey begins, inevitably missteps.
Protect the phase known as childhood,
Books, apple trees, games and pretend!
Instill love, patience, wisdom, a purpose understood,
The shadow passes launching the end.
The familiar fades, butterflies emerge
Color is everywhere, the dance begins.
Fast, loud, chaotic as tides slowly converge.
Melodies turn to songs, still the record spins.
Then and now, now and then, inevitably...change.
Perception is the lock, ultimately the key.
Impact, depends on the impacted interchange.
A mixture binds but does not blend, no recipe.
Review each day before the sun sets...twilight,
Cannot rewind therefore demand the best.
Never alone, in the darkness, a visible light,
Home at last, what was, gone and now eternal rest.
LIFE = live in faith eternally
