Life is short, the days are long
Right is good, but sometimes wrong
What we need is always gone
Seems to be the same old song
Day will come, certain as night
Things seem wrong. but still are right
We can lose a battle and win the fight
Stumbling through darkness, seeking light
You can build your funeral pyre
Paint it with a brush of fire
The lies you leave never fade
Cut on the edge of Occam's blade
Those who can't see past their eye
Live a loss they can't defy
The deeds we do and then deny
Follow us until we die
