Birds in the branches twitter and flit on flashing wings in springtime sun, quick-shimmering here, then gone. Through patterns of petals on blossom bright twigs a feather floats so lightly drifting down.   Author Notes I have a cherry-plum tree in my backyard, just by my kitchen window. It is such a delight to watch the birds go about their activities through the different seasons.
