Write a Kyrielle writing prompt entry

When but a toddler in the yard
You’d watch the squirr'ls and rabbits play
And frowned when all they left you were
Tiny footprints leading away

And then the week that you turned five
Your mice escaped on your birthday
You cried when all we found there were
Tiny footprints leading away

The year the darkness reared its head
We'd skip down the clinic hallway
'Cuz painted there just for fun were
Tiny footprints leading away

We tried, my love, you fought so hard
I’ll hold you once again, I pray
Look, there, with the angels' are your
Tiny footprints leading away

Writing Prompt
A kyrielle is made of quatrains (four lines) that rhyme (any rhyme scheme can be used). Each stanza (quatrain) has a line that repeats from the previous stanza. That line is usually the last line in the stanza, but it does not have to be. Each line is made up of eight syllables. There is no limit to the number of stanzas. A Kyrielle is usually made up of three or more stanzas. For this prompt, a minimum of three stanzas is required.
