All Feathered Friends Are Welcome

The birds in spring flit tirelessly
while building nests with joyful cheer
within my trees--such artistry!
All feathered friends are welcome here.
A robin redbreast and his mate
have chosen residence this year
in Christmas wreath removed too late.
All feathered friends are welcome here
The birdhouse with its roof bright red
has tenants now it does appear
and beaks of hatchlings being fed.
All feathered friends are welcome here.
I try to keep my feeders filled
for birds that flock from far or near,
Ignoring heaps of seed that's spilled.
All feathered friends are welcome here.
