I hear you little bird
Up high in the old white pine
Calling, calling, oh, so plaintively...
Are you sad my little friend?
Are you sad as sad as me?
Has your mate left you alone?
Well, I know just how you feel
My soulmate has passed away
But, I take heart my friend
Because
I know she's gone to a better place
Where she is waiting for me
