The sun shines solely to warm your skin,
not needed because you glow from within.
The rain falls solely to cool your brow,
it knows how special you are somehow.
The moon shines above to light your way,
to keep you safe till light of day.
The grass grows solely to cushion your feet,
and for you alone flowers smell so sweet.
How can I not, when I look in your eyes,
see that you are an angel disguised?
Where once I lived a lonely life,
and sadness cut me like a knife,
I now live where I want to be,
beside the angel next to me.
You fill up all my empty space,
and when I look upon your face,
so much of who I am today,
is solely because you came my way.
