Mine wasn't a marriage of choice, but rather of convenience. Though he was the most strikingly handsome man I'd ever seen, there was a peculiar coldness about him that utterly repulsed me. I dreaded our wedding night even more so than the ceremony itself. But the next morning found me changed. Due, no doubt, because some of his blood now coursed through my veins. As a result, Aric and I share feelings only vampires can. Author Notes The idea came to me sometime back, as perhaps the beginning of a longer piece, but for now, this is it.
