Oh, Cat, you are so sly
Only appearing when you feel like it
Slinking about wherever you please
Sunning yourself on the back of the couch
Climbing up drapes, leaping on counters
While I am consigned to the floor
Heaven forbid if I should relax on a chair
I have to go outside when nature calls
While you have a litter box that stinks up the place
You act like you are the master and missy is your pet
You don’t take orders, and do what you please
While I had to go to obedience school, and heel when told
I have to fetch slippers, play catch and guard the kids
While you live a life of ease with nothing to do
I’m coming back a cat in my next life because a dog’s life is just not fair.
