The trees attired in fall pizzazz
shout out a raucous tune today:
that fabulous New Orleans' jazz.
The rhythm's in these leaves!

The maples have a trumpet's flair.
The throaty lows and crisp, clear highs,
the purest notes heard anywhere.
The passion's in these leaves!

The yellow aspens are trombones,
red sassafras the standing bass
while beech and birch are saxophones.
There's gusto in these leaves!

Look at these trees! They really wail!
What jumping jive these cats all play
This jam is wild, way off the scale.
There's color in these leaves!
