A Matter of the Heart

It's more than a repetition of words
or following certain rituals.
It's more than being inside sacred walls,
no matter what you may have heard
It's more than just a strong belief
or something to hold onto when in grief;
for true faith lies not in these things,
so let us not to these standards cling.
This upon you I would impart:
It's a matter of the heart.
