I visited my sister today
The crazy one
The borderline one
The one who tried so often
To kill herself
And would call me to save her
And I did
Until once
Years ago
When she relied on someone else
Her other sister
To read her goodbye note
But she didn't read it
Until the next day
And my sister was found
Passed out in an overheated apartment
Surrounded by cages of canaries
Dead from the heat
My sister lives
With liver damaged
From that attempt
We sat and played cards
Like nothing ever happened

My sister is finally free of negative thoughts and feels better about herself. I love her very much and I'm glad to sit and visit in our old age.
