A review
is surely
not for you
although scores
and dollars
they make yours
Think instead
of the scribe
whose pen bled
their psyche
on their end
is dicey
and they seek
direction
not puff chic
Nix sublime
phrase with care
ev’ry time
Don’t talk down
but advise
Smile, don’t frown
You can’t send
true intent
of words penned
for when read
they can yield
hope or dread
Cut and paste
is also
cold, displaced
The author
knows you failed
to bother-
his hard work
her warm heart
you’ve besmirched
In closing
please take care
composing
No review
should be trite
harsh, devalue
If words fail-
not your style?
Simply bail
it’s alright!
Move on! Read
the next write!

Writing Prompt |
Write a poem of a minimum of three verses. The catch? Each verse must contain three lines of only three syllables each (three syllables per line). So that's-
3 syllables per line
3 lines per verse
At least 3 verses (but can be more)
See - 3 cubed.

Author Notes
**Note: This is not aimed at or addressed to any particular person!! In fact, let me state now clearly in the words of American Studios:
"The story [poem], all names, characters, and incidents portrayed in this production are fictitious. No identification with actual persons (living or deceased), places, buildings, and products is intended or should be inferred."
**This simply flowed out of my crazy brain after reading a good many of the Reviewing Reviews Contest essays that are currently posted - the whole 'when in Rome' thing, I suppose. :) :) It was meant for fun (grins), and I hope you enjoy it at its poetic face value! :) :) :) :)
