Anniversary
April seventeen for us has arrived,
Nigh on Forty Four years ago, a bride.
Now as we celebrate, that day recall
In love we were as we began it all.
Vows we made back then, they still hold us true
Ev’ry day a new one I make with you.
Remembering all the good times we’ve had,
Sharing and caring, three children we add.
Another milestone we put on today,
Roses sent from you, the card it did say.
You are the best part of me; my true love
Happy Anniversary

Author Notes
Today my husband and I celebrate our 44th Wedding Anniversary.
We didn't have a traditional wedding
Oh No we kinda eloped.
Told no one we were getting married except out witnesses and so on April Seventeen 1974 dressed in matching flared light blue jeans and velour windcheaters, I wore a red one and Greg wore a Blue one, we headed off to the registry office in Melbourne and got married I was 21 and Greg was 20 ( Yes I cradle snatched him ladies LOL )
The we had to go home and tell our parents Hmmm anyway we survived and have reared 3 beautiful children a daughter Katie and 2 sons Adam and Brenten who are the best kids ever. Plus we have four lovely granddaughter (Katies) waiting on the boys LOL. one day I hope.
