The grapes were ripe, the wine so sweet
Cicadas chirped in August heat
Young lovers kiss beneath the vine
I miss those days of summer wine

You pinned a flower in my hair
while strolling through the country fair
My heart kept humming, "He's So Fine."
I miss those days of summer wine

But now those summer days are gone
and autumn leaves enshroud the lawn
Sweet memories our lives define
I miss those days of summer wine

I miss the sparkle in your eyes
Though saddened by your silent cries,
disease will never steal what's mine
I miss those days of summer wine

That line is usually the last line in the stanza, but it does not have to be. Each line is made up of eight syllables. There is no limit to the number of stanzas. A Kyrielle is usually made up of three or more stanzas. For this prompt, a minimum of three stanzas is required.
