Your faultless features, quiet grace,
in one sweet angel changed my taste;
None I’ve known could e’er compare
with you, my pet, my lady fair.
All my life I had preferred
another type, though I know I erred;
Species, I should say, at that;
dogs, I had, but never a cat.
