Today is the birth of spring,
Flowers blooming while birds sing
Spring beauty, emerald jewel
Coming out from beneath snow so cruel
Snow has started to melt away
This is the month that starts baseball play
Grass green mixed with snow white
Fertile soil,
Blue sky royal
I'd like to look down from a mountain height
To see spring spreading out in its wonderful sight.

Today, March 20, is the first day of spring, so I thought I'd write a poem dedicated to the birth of the season. Thanks to helvi2 for artwork. I know her personally. To me, spring is a jewel.
