Forty-three years ago, we adopted our son Brian through Catholic Charities. It was a "closed" adoption, so we discovered  little about the birth parents. The years passed, and Brian was not the least bit curious about his genealogy until he became a parent. For a  Father's Day gift, his wife ordered an Ancestry DNA kit. The results opened previously closed doors. Our son, an only child, discovered his birth mother, three brothers, and two sisters. Both families welcomed him with open arms. As it turns out, he has been only thirty-five miles away from these blood relatives all these years. Writing Prompt Write a story of 100 words. not including the title. Any subject accepted. Must be exactly 100 words.
