Black smoke billows by the windows
I run inside an old coal burning train
Dash from car to car chased by men
in black uniforms, lightning bolts flash
on their collars, red twisted crosses
decorate their hellish, hateful arms
Sweat soaks my clothing, my heart
hammers in time with speeding wheels
I'm trapped between cars, Nazi hands
reach, I push the emergency door
Wind lashes, landscape flies by
I wake up, sweat drenched
I ponder what is this dream to me?
Why this haunting in my sleeping mind?
I search the Internet and learn that Nazi
dreams are a symbols of cruelty and
repression associated with government
I pray this is not a foreshadowing the future
